Projects

This website is very out of date. I am currently working on a new version of this website, which will be more up to date with my current projects and skills.

Clash Central

A passion project; Clash Central was created by a team of six, providing a foundation for my web design skills and techniques. I utilized many different languages and frameworks including HTML, CSS, Javascript (+ Jquery and Ajax), PHP, and SQL. Eventually, a prototype was developed in Python, employing Jinja2, Flask, and a DigitalOcean Droplet Environment.

You can read my synopsis of the life of Clash Central on the website here, but in short, Clash Central garnered over 60,000 unique visitors during its 2.5-year lifespan. I am very proud of the work completed on Clash Central. This project taught me how to effectively deal with the security of a web application in real-time (as real time as you can get with git).

Here is a short demo of creating a profile or "toon" on the site.

I was interested in replicating popular commercial ad formats at the time. I created this short video here. The material doesn't match too well with the format, but I feel the video is still edited well.

The Sticky Keys Podcast

The Sticky Keys Podcast was another creative outlet. I built the website which detailed who we were, what we talked about, and allowed users to listen to our podcast through an embed player. This project was my first attempt at building successful components for SEO.

"Sticky Keys" was a particularly hard name to leverage from search results. I was really just happy to have the website popup when adding "Podcast" to the search query.

I created videos, learned special effects software, and invested time into audio editing in Adobe Audition.

Roboscout

I participated in the First Robotics Competition on Team 6574: Ferradermis. This club was my introduction to webpage design and using analytical analysis to curate a competitive strategy. For Ferradermis, I was co-leader of our Competition Logistics team.

My responsibilities included building a web application for scouts to enter information into, which later turned into a full-fledged utility, called Roboscout. Roboscout was ended abruptly by the COVID-19 Pandemic.

I created many promotional videos during my time as both a student and mentor for Ferradermis.
